Custom Specialist since 2008

We are well known in the custom bike world. We have been designing and building bespoke custom motorcycles for the last 15 years with several motorcycles featured in the top biker magazines. We have also won several awards and trophies for our work throughout the custom scene here in the UK. We can design and build a custom motorcycle to your requirements and we have a large portfolio of completed projects for our clients. Our custom work includes but is not limited to: Metal fabrication, aluminium polishing, welding, electrical wiring from small accessories to complete wiring looms and rewires, chrome accessories, custom cables, suspension upgrades, brake upgrades, handlebar changes, seats, fuel tanks, lighting changes and LED conversions. We work closely with the N.A.B.D to provide disabled riders with conversions to hand controls and push button gearchange systems. Our aftermarket parts suppliers have over a million products listed which means there’s not much that we can’t do!

RECKLESS RITA

It all started with a Sportster. A valued customer asked us to build a bobber with a bit of a difference for him. He donated his tired Harley Davidson Sportster to us and asked us to build something a little bit different, which reminded him of the flat tracker and bobber boys of the 50’s and 60’s. We started by dismantling the bike to the frame, then we cut back the fender struts and smoothed things out. We then modified and fitted a set of Harley Davidson UL springer forks from the 1940’s for nostalgic looks. The motor was stripped and refreshed with new silver bead blast paint, and we modified and fitted a Salinas boys low tunnel fuel tank.

We then fabricated and fitted a new oil tank into the frame with a cut out to house the battery and to clear the rear fender. We then fabricated an electrics box and fitted that into the frame next to the oil tank. Custom wiring looms and electrics were made and fitted to minimise the wiring needed. A new wider front wheel rim was powder coated black with stainless spokes and a new whitewall tyre fitted. This was modified to fit the springer front forks along with a springer brake assembly. Next a set of 1940’s style flyer handlebars were fitted with internal wiring and a set of antique handgrips. We fitted an external ignition coil for authenticity along with period plug wires and cotton covered wiring for that period look.

A custom rear fender was cut and modified to fit along with external rear strut arms. Rear wheel was retained and the rim was powder coated black along with stainless spokes and whitewall tyre for the look, a set of custom exhausts were fabricated in house.

BIG RED

We were asked by a valued customer to create his dream bike from a drawing he did as a child. After some consultation we decided on a low and long look to the bike. We started with the frame design and progressed to a “dry build” stage before dismantling and deciding on options such as wheels, fuel tank, forks etc. If you ever watched American Chopper, we can tell you now, it’s never that easy to build a machine from scratch! After deciding on candy apple red for the colour scheme, the frame was prepped and painted along with the teardrop aluminium fuel tank and oil tank. We chose a Harley Davidson Evolution motor for the power plant. However we didn’t want a stock lump so we breathed on it a bit... We fitted a new S&S stroker crankshaft into the modified crankcases along with new oversized pistons and barrels, and a pair of big valve cylinder heads which have been ported and flow tested.

We also fitted a new high lift camshaft along with adjustable lightweight pushrods and steel breather gear. A new mikuni carburettor was fitted, which is large enough to suck in sparrows and starlings from the hedgerows under full throttle. We then turned to the gearbox and drive units. With the 300 rear tyre it was necessary to have the drive belt on the right hand side to equal the position of the motor and drive train. For this we used a Baker right side drive, 6 speed gearbox and a BDL primary drive unit with a 3” open belt. A set of Tolle front forks were fitted with overstock length and just enough rake to give it the look we were after. Next came a set of custom-made wheels from Performance Machine USA and discs and pulley to match.

All hand controls cables and forward controls by Performance machine USA and a custom exhaust system fabricated in house using Supertrapp silencers. Custom wiring looms and electrics made and fitted in house by JWA. Mix it all together and the customer was absolutely speechless when he saw the finished motorcycle. He couldn’t believe we had created his dream from paper to reality.
